CAMP OVERVIEW

The goal of our Summer camps is to provide detailed instruction in a fun and energetic atmosphere! Our Advanced Hitting Camp is geared towards higher level players with a solid foundation/understanding of the proper fundamentals, mechanics, and techniques of hitting. The camp will aim to refine these fundamentals, while also nurturing the development of situational awareness and the mental side of hitting. With a limited camp enrollment and a low player/coach ratio, we ensure each player the quality instruction needed to maximize development. It is our goal, to instill the the proper fundamentals and muscle memory needed through drills and supervision. We will concentrate on the following things for each facet of the game:

Hitting:

• Stance
• Rhythm/Timing
• Use of the lower body in your swing
• Hitting for Power
• Situational Hitting
• Mental Approach
• Having a plan at the plate
• Mental Preparation for each AB

CHECK-IN/REGISTRATION:

Check-in and late registrations will be held at the front desk of the pro shop inside the main facility at Baseball USA. Check-in/late registration will begin at 12:00 PM each day.

WHAT TO BRING:

Bat, helmet, baseball hat, and tennis shoes/turf shoes. 

WHAT TO WEAR:

Shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes/turf shoes.

SNACKS/DRINKS:

Players are welcome to bring snacks and/or water or sports drinks. They will have a short snack break during the camp. The concession stand inside the facility will be open during the camp, and will only have snack items and drinks for sale.

WEATHER:

In case of inclement weather, all camp activities will remain at Baseball USA in the indoor facilities.
